Process for purchasing a firearm or air rifle on Ballistech Limited

Please note you have to be a resident in the Republic of Ireland to purchase guns or ammunition from ballistech.ie.

After browsing our online store and selecting a suitable firearm or air rifle, you will be brought through the checkout process where you will be requested to pay for the gun.

Once the purchase process is complete, and you have paid for the item, this is the process you will have to go through before your gun will be available for you to collect from our shop:

1.  A bill of sale will be supplied to the customer by email or fax containing the following information:
   • Customer’s name
   • Customer’s address
   • Gun make and model
   • Gun calibre
   • Gun serial number
   • Dealer ID of the gun shop
   • Pulse ID of the gun shop
   • Signature of Ballistech Limited staff member
2. The customer will then present this document to their local Garda station and fill out a gun license application form (check and see where your local station is)
3. You will then receive a reply to your application after approximately three weeks. This will either state that you have been granted a firearms licence or not
4. If you have been granted a license, you will then have to go to your local post office and pay the fee for this licence, for example €80 for a three year gun license (find out where your local post office is)
5. Once you have this proof of payment, the firearm can be collected from Ballistech Limited in Askamore, Co. Wexford on presentation of this document or you can wait until you get your licence, i.e. three to four working days, and collect the firearm from us then.*

Please note

• Firearms can only be collected from our premises by the licence holder – Ballistech Limited, Askamore, Co. Wexford.
• The name of the person on the gun license has to be present when collecting the firearm
• As well as presenting the gun license, another form of photo identification (passport or driving license) has to be shown to secure collection of the firearm
• If you are not granted a firearms license you will receive store credit to the value of the firearm purchased through ballistech.ie

* The proof of payment form or gun license has to be fully legible by a member of our sales team. It is at their discretion whether or not it is legible.

Process for purchasing ammunition on ballistech.ie

Please note ammunition can only be purchased for a firearm that you have a license for. You cannot purchase ammunition for a firearm that you do not have a valid license for.

N/B “AMMUNITION MUST BE COLLECTED FOR OUR STORE AND DELIVERY IS NOT AN OPTION”

1. Supply us with your Firearms Licence** details by one of the following methods:

• Scan and email both sides of your licence to info@ballistech.ie
• Fax a photocopy of both sides of your licence to 053 9423919
• Call into our shop in Ballistech Limited, Askamore, Co. Wexford and present it to a member of our sales team

Once you have proof of payment (see step four above), the ammunition can be collected from Ballistech Limited, Askamore, Co. Wexford (Contact Us) on presentation of this document or you can wait until you get your licence, i.e. three to four working days,
